Job Overview Under close supervision, program, operate, and maintain the set‑ups of conventional and CNC machines and tools. Perform a variety of machining operations, modify/write CNC programs when required, and provide lower‑level programming and machining support.
Responsibilities - Write and prove out CNC programs when required, focusing on low‑level complexity (typically two and three‑axis tool paths).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose processes to eliminate variability.
- Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machining equipment).
- Assist and instruct others in proper set‑up procedures.
- Keep the work area clean and free from safety hazards.
- Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency levels.
