CNC Machinist

Location: Redditch

Salary: £15 - £16 per hour + Shift allowance (£2.20 - £6.10/hr extra)

Weekday nights: Monday - Thursday (20:00 - 06:00) (shift allowance £84 per week)

Weekend night: Friday - Sunday (17:30 - 06:00) (shift allowance £220 per week)

Overview

An established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their machining team across various shifts. The successful candidate will report to the Machine Shop Team Leader and will be responsible for manufacturing tooling to precise engineering drawings within tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC mills or lathes.
• Operate Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazak CNC machines.
• Polish components to a 320‑grain finish.
• Conduct manual compensation and bench work.
• Service, repair, and maintain tools (ppm).
• Respond to breakdowns and production issues efficiently.
