What requirements you'll need to be eligible
High school diploma or equivalent. A culinary arts degree or diploma is highly advantageous. Sound knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP standards) and a valid food handler's license. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment and a strong willingness to learn. What you'll be doing on the job
Measure ingredients, chop vegetables, and prep meats or fish according to the Chef de Partie's instructions. Keep your assigned workspace clean, sanitized, and tidy throughout the shift. Help receive deliveries, rotate stock, and discard expired food items to maintain proper hygiene. Support senior chefs during service by plating dishes and executing simple recipes.
