Transition Salt Spring (TSS) is a volunteer‑led community organization working on local climate action, ecosystem protection, affordable housing, food security, and local governance. We work closely with community partners, local government, and island residents to advance practical, place‑based solutions. 2026 is a pivotal year. A local government election in October coincides with a once‑in‑a‑generation review of the Islands Trust Official Community Plan (OCP) – the document that shapes land use, housing, and environmental protection on Salt Spring for years to come.
