Strategic Commodity Manager (Communications Systems)

Location: Getafe (Madrid), Airbus Defence and Space, part of the TAOP (Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics) organization. The role focuses on systems procurement for ADS platforms, including UAS and FCAS, and on developing strategic relationships with global suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and monitor a robust commodity strategy for the assigned perimeter, ensuring deep market understanding, cost drivers, global pricing, and technology evolution.
• Lead and coordinate the Sub-Commodity Multi‑Functional Team (MFT) to secure successful management, enable value‑for‑money proposals, and safeguard lines of supply.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct risk assessments, perform supplier financial analysis, and lead supplier‑related development programs (e.g., SED and Vendor Management).
