About the role
Reporting to the Underground Electrical Team Leader, the Underground Communications Technician will play a hands-on role maintaining and improving the reliability of our underground communications systems. This new role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key infrastructure while gaining exposure to advanced mining technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting leaky feeder, optical fibre, Wi-Fi, and CCTV systems.Ensuring reliable connectivity to support safety, operations, and emergency response.Developing and documenting work instructions and preventative maintenance plans.Supporting system upgrades, configuration, and integration of new technologies.Providing training and technical support to crews across site.Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards and principles within the workpla...
