Compliance Specialist – Fisheries Biologist
Responsible for fish passage operations at Company’s dams and hydroelectric power plants on assigned rivers.This position will be focused on the Penobscot and Union Rivers in Maine, and work cooperatively with the larger Northeast Compliance team.Oversee fish trapping, sorting and trucking activities including oversight of seasonal fishway staff.Coordination with State fisheries agencies, establishing and maintaining compliance with fish passage license requirements, and oversight of fish passage studies/reporting.Provide guidance requiring a diversified knowledge of aquatic ecosystems to perform complex biological and ecological investigations.Contribute and advise project teams to determine environmental impacts of proposed and existing civil works projects on aquatic ecosystems.Accomplish environmental planning and protection through int...
