**Summary**

The Senior Components Engineer sources, selects, and qualifies components used in the company's technology. Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability. This individual acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.

**Position Responsibilities**

+ Maintains and provides expertise regarding electronic components and works with electrical engineers, suppliers, and electronics manufacturing to maintain AV's product.
+ Manage a component lifecycle database and obsolete parts.
+ Assists design engineers in the selection of electrical parts that best fit their requirements.
