Job summary
This is a full time 10 PA Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant post in CYPS to work with the Learning disability pathway, based in Monkwearmouth Hospital. It will provide an exciting opportunity to be involved in further developing the service model. There will also be opportunity to be involved in leadership, research, teaching, audit, and SPA activities. It is a rich service with strong established links with our Paediatric colleagues in the Acute Hospital; the generic CYPS team; the PLT (Psych liaison team); ICTS (Intensive community treatment service), EDICT (Eating disorders intensive community treatment team). We are a teaching service with plenty of teaching opportunities. We have Psychiatry trainees from FT, GP trainees, Core Trainees, Higher trainee and International fellowship doctors as well as undergraduate Medical students from Newcastle and Sunderland Medical Schools.
