Description

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cook duties for patients, staff, vistors, and special functions at the Ronald Reagan Hospital cafeteria and kitchen. Tasks include setting up service lines, pre-plating foods, preparation of meals, and serving customers.

You will be responsible for:

+ Reviewing menus, production sheets, recipes, and inventory to verify needs for the day
+ Cook meat, fowl, fish by baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
+ Make soups, sauces, stews, and casseroles
+ Clean, peel, cut, slice, dice, weigh and measure ingredients for recipes
+ Plate and/or garnish food for attractive presentation
+ Maintain all foods and ingredients at safe temperatures; record data
+ Maintain food stations sanitary and organized

Qualifications

+ ServSafe food handler card or equivalent safe food handling certification highly preferred.
