Responsibilities:

• Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
• Prepares journal entries, reconciles inventory balance sheet accounts, prepares LIFO inventory valuations for year-end audits.
• Analyzes cost accounting practices, processes, and data, makes recommendations for improvement.
• Provides input for and audits the accuracy of cost master data.
• Maintains and improves cost models and schedules.
• Analyzes manufacturing variances, determines business drivers, creates P&L commentary for actual variances.
• Coordinates cost accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
• Works independently and in cooperation with others to identify and drive implementation of process improvements for areas of responsibility.
