Job Summary



The Critical Operations Engineer I supports the operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of a colocation data center environment. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical facility infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems that support continuous data center operations. The technician begins each shift with a structured handoff and manages tasks through a ticketing system, prioritizing maintenance activities, operational issues, and facility needs. The role involves hands-on work with building systems, coordinating vendor activities, and completing documentation related to maintenance procedures and work orders. This position requires strong knowledge of mechanical infrastructure, critical facility systems, and data center operating procedures.
