Job Title

Operates Computed Tomography and Routine Diagnostic Radiology equipment in accordance with standard operating policies and procedures.

Prepares patient for exam, ensures enough information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis; assists in the management of patient flow and presents images mounted for physician diagnosis. Assists Staff in transferring patients to and from bed/stretcher/wheelchair/imaging equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for examination.
  • Explains procedure in layman terms to relieve patient of pretesting anxiety.
  • Sets-up equipment to administer the procedure.
  • Ensures patient is screened according to protocol, and assures consent for the procedure has been obtained, when necessary.
• Performs CT / DX procedures to include: abdominal, thoracic, all neuro exams, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning.
