POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY

The Custodian maintains the cleanliness of the facility, property and/or grounds in compliance with applicable standards. The incumbent makes minor repairs and provides access to the facility as required.

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday (8 AM - 4:30 PM)

JOB DUTIES

• Ensures the general upkeep of the facility such as cleaning floors, washrooms, windows, dusting, collecting and disposing of garbage, vacuums
• Checks, cleans, moves, arranges and dusts furniture as required
• Ensures the general upkeep of external property such as mowing lawns, keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice, cleaning main floor outside windows, picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, gardening/watering and pruning shrubs, raking
• Checks doors and windows to ensure building and resident security; provides access to the facility and secures the facility as needed
