JOB SUMMARY: The Account Specialist is a front-line customer service contact who is responsible for ensuring that the needs of an assigned group of customers are identified and addressed using specific account strategies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
β’ Maintain and grow current business by developing and nurturing current accounts
β’ May actively seek and pursue new business opportunities
β’ Address incoming telephone calls, faxes, emails and any other communication in a timely manner
β’ Quote prices, lead times, credit terms to customer per established guidelines
β’ Follow up on quotes to close business or to determine the reason an order will not close
β’ Review and accept sales contracts including changes and expedites
β’ Manage customer accounts receivables to ensure that customers can place and receive orders easily
