Fifth Meridian Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced independent contract welder for a short-term structural skid fabrication project in Southeast Calgary.

Start date: Tuesday, June 23, 2026

Duration: Approximately 1–2 weeks

Location: Southeast Calgary, Alberta

Position type: Independent contractor (Must have WCB and insurance)

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld structural steel skids from fabrication drawings
• Accurately lay out, fit, square and assemble structural steel components
• Perform flux‑core welding in accordance with CSA W59
• Safely and accurately use oxy‑acetylene cutting equipment
• Cut, cope, bevel and prepare beams, channels and other structural steel members
• Verify dimensions, squareness and fit‑up before welding
• Maintain high weld quality and dimensional accuracy
