**Position Overview:**

Integrates knowledge, theory and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory and deliver accurate results in a timely manner. With advanced training, maintains competence in all Cytology practices, to perform pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of disease. May be responsible for specimen/material receipt, preparation, interpretation, and archival/retrieval, according to department policies and procedures.
