Data and model software engineer (RE1)
Key Duties
Implement changes in the Fortran code of the models to produce new variables in the model output.
Adapt the CMORization and standardization Python code to process new GRIB variables in NetCDF.
Contribute to the setup and verification of the generation of CMOR outputs for AC experiments.
Integrate the new codes into the relevant workflow.
Provide support and guidance to potential users and other developers on newly developed features and promote best practices.
Requirements
Education:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Physics or a related discipline.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Good development skills and experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
