Job Overview

The Hardware Operations team monitors the state‑of‑the‑art physical infrastructure behind Google’s search technology. As an Operations Technician you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware (such as servers and components) and server software (including Google’s Linux cluster). You’ll also handle configuration of complex network components—routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and associated protocols—participating in or leading small project teams for larger installations and developing contingency plans.
