About this role

The Data Engineer will design and build Master Data Management (MDM) functionality to enable better Master Data across Gartner. The role maintains high data quality standards using cutting‑edge data engineering, data operations, and data mastering technologies in a cloud‑based environment. The engineer also manages operational issues behind Gartner’s primary client‑facing websites.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement MDM functionality.
• Build and maintain data pipelines with SQL and AWS services such as Glue and Python.
• Build and configure web services, pub‑sub queues, and Event‑Driven Architecture components.
• Follow best practices and industry standards in data engineering and mastering.
• Perform day‑to‑day data operations: troubleshoot pipelines, monitor and maintain job schedules.
