Database Engineer - Manchester (Hybrid)

We are currently partnered with a global professional services organisation to recruit for Database Engineer.

This role sits within a technology team responsible for designing, optimising and maintaining high‑performance database platforms that underpin SaaS applications, reporting environments and client billing systems. The position combines technical leadership with hands‑on engineering.

Key responsibilities:

- Design and optimise scalable, high‑performance SQL database architectures
- Own and improve stored procedures, reusable scripts and database standards
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and leading code reviews
- Deliver clear documentation covering data models and architectural decisions
- Drive database‑focused projects through to delivery
