Job Description – Design Engineer

Business specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of hydraulic power units and associated equipment within the UK. Following on from securing large projects a Design engineer is required within the projects division.

Responsibilities Include

• Undertake all 3D part, assembly & GA drawings for manufacture using Solidworks software package
• Create BOM’s as part of project build
• Generate detailed costing sheets
• Order materials from suppliers created within BOM
• Management of suppliers
• Create/ update in house library of 3D part drawings
• Produce fabrication drawings for construction
• Design of hydraulic schematic circuits & solutions
• Involved in DFMEA & Design Risk Assessment workshops
• Create 2D P&ID drawings using Autocad software
• Project co-ordination where required
• Involved in building tender package...
