Overview

Frencken's Integrated Manufacturing Services (IMS) division seeks a Mold Designer to develop 2D & 3D mold layouts and simulations for clients in automotive, medical, and consumer electronics sectors.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop 2D & 3D mould layouts and drawings using CAD software (Unigraphics).
2. Create DFM and Moldflow simulations for new tools and RFQ's to meet customer requirements.
3. Design proper cooling systems and gating designs for optimal mould performance.
4. Perform feasibility studies and design analysis to optimize part quality and minimize defects.
5. Collaborate with engineering and tooling teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
6. Implement lessons learned for new projects DFMEA.
7. Work closely with customers, suppliers, and tooling vendors for mould fabrication and validation.
