Summary:
The Diagnostic Coordination Coordinator 1 serves as a vital liaison between radiologists, community physicians, imaging departments, and patients, ensuring seamless coordination of imaging services, accurate documentation, and timely communication to support high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate consults and follow-up on studies and patient care issues.
* Ensure timely processing of STAT readings by contacting referring physicians for preliminary reports.
* Relay messages to radiologists in a clinically appropriate manner, including addendum requests.
* Utilize Cerner and PACS systems to obtain, upload CDs, and manage prior films/studies and reports.
* Monitor PACS for unread reports and pending prior imaging.
