Summary The Integrative and Functional Nutrition (IFN) Registered Dietitian (RD) is the medical nutrition expert responsible for independently planning, developing and directing all nutritional care activities for assigned clients, based upon a nutrition systems assessment involving biochemical individuality. He/she coordinates nutritional care with other health care providers in the integrative or functional medicine healthcare team, the client, the client's family and the community.
