Summary Clinical Dietitians in this role provide expert, evidence-based nutrition care within the Clinical Section of NFS. They work independently to support patients with a wide range of medical and nutritional needs, partner with Veterans, caregivers, and care teams, apply current research to guide patient-centered goals, and collaborate with Food Operations to enhance the dining experience. Responsibilities Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutritional Care Process (NCP), including nutrition focused physical examinations, to establish a nutrition diagnosis and determine risk and/or degree of malnutrition. Develops and implements Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to address the nutrition diagnosis, evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of MNT interventions.
