Responsible for setting the standard of quality for testing within the assigned department(s). The position is responsible for the overall clinical quality of testing, development of new tests and test procedures, and verification in accordance with federal requirements under CLIA-88, College of American Pathologists (CAP), the State of California, and any other related regulatory or accrediting body affecting clinical activities of the laboratory.
