Overview

The Education Department of the City of Akaa is an enthusiastic and development-oriented community where teamwork is the foundation of daily life. The Education Department of Akaa consists of early childhood education and teaching services, as well as welfare and leisure services. The Director of Education leads the education sector and is responsible for its administration, finances, and personnel. The education sector also includes the coordination of the city's well-being and health promotion. The department has approximately 400 staff members, with seven direct subordinates reporting to the Director of Education. The Director of Education actively develops practices and services to create clear and citizen-friendly functions that streamline everyday life. The Director of Education acts as the presenter to the Education Committee and is a member of the city management team. The city manager supervises the Director of Education.
