3 months contract Role with a local authority Summary The Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Officer is a critical role within the local authority, tasked with delivering a high-quality adaptations service. This position is essential for enabling disabled and vulnerable residents to live independently, safely, and comfortably in their homes. The DFG Officer will assess grant applications, conduct property surveys, prepare specifications and schedules of works, manage adaptation projects, and ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation, regulations, and local authority policies. Responsibilities Assess and process Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) applications from initial enquiry through to completion. Review Occupational Therapist recommendations and determine appropriate adaptation solutions. Conduct financial means-testing assessments to determine grant eligibility.
