Duties and Responsibilities Act in accordance with the rules and regulations of the South African Pharmacy Council (“SAPC”). Safeguard and safekeeping of schedule 6 medication by administering the process of safekeeping of the medication key including the records and the register. Ensure all staff work within SAPC scope of practice. Ensure that Good Pharmacy Practice rules and regulations are adhered to by all employees. Ensure SAPC registration and annual registration fees are updated consistently. Ensure all employees adhere to the confines of the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”) act to protect confidential information. Accurately capture and interpret script details and verify patient’s details on the system. Be conscious and mindful of various fraudulent activities such as doctors’ scripts.
