Overview

The Many-Body Theory group at Tampere University is looking for a doctoral researcher to work on the computational study of quantum nuclear effects in solids.

Responsibilities

• Develop an in-house program package.
• Conduct computations on realistic solids using supercomputer resources provided by CSC.
• Collaborate with group members, supervise students, and undertake teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, or chemistry.
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python.
• Experience with Quantum ESPRESSO is advantageous.

Position Details

The position is for three years, starting in fall 2026. The typical salary is around 3000 EUR/month.
