Class 4 Driver – Job Description Industry: Construction & Manufacturing
Job Summary A Class 4 Driver is responsible for operating heavy vehicles (e.g., lorries, trucks above 3.5 tonnes) to transport materials, equipment, and goods safely and efficiently between sites, warehouses, and customers in the construction and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Transport Operations - Drive Class 4 vehicles to deliver construction materials, machinery, or manufactured goods.
- Transport items between manufacturing plants, warehouses, and project sites.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery according to schedules.
Loading & Unloading - Assist with loading and unloading of goods, including heavy materials (e.g., cement, steel, equipment).
- Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or accidents.
Vehicle Maintenance
