Overview
Position requires a high school graduation certificate and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. The work site is outdoors and may be noisy. The role is temporary, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist co-workers with housekeeping and cooking duties.
- Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers.
- Develop and implement child‑care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- Maintain daycare equipment.
- Tell stories and lead activities, including songs, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
- Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
- Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
