About this role

We are offering a permanent role in the Christchurch Office. As an Early Intervention Teacher, you will play a critical role in our region’s Learning Support team by:

• Providing high quality learning support in line with the Ministry’s practice framework He Pikorua guiding principles, strands, and goals of Te Whariki: Early Childhood Curriculum, and Te Whariki a te Kohanga Reo.
• Building and strengthening the capability of those who are best placed to support children’s learning such as parents, teachers and whānau | families.
• Understanding the families’ needs, collaboratively planning, supporting, and monitoring the implementation of intervention plans.
• Supporting transition points in the child’s learning pathway, such as transition into early childhood education and to school as required.
• Working as part of a trans‑disciplinary team where a child’s needs are complex....
