Are you ready to own the edge runtime for thousands of smart fridges and coffee machines across Switzerland and the US? As our new Edge Platform Engineer (100%) in Zurich, you will join a close-knit 8-person engineering team to rebuild and manage the systems that power our hardware. In this hybrid role, you will take full ownership of our edge domain from day one, ensuring that our unglamorous but highly reliable hardware works seamlessly for real people getting their lunch every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take full, end-to-end ownership of the edge runtime on our smart fridges and Gavetti coffee machine controllers, managing everything from zero-touch provisioning, device bootstrap, call-home and on-device applications.
• Drive the consolidation of our fleet management onto a single, reliable platform (such as Azure IoT Hub or KubeEdge), taking charge of making and defending the architectural choices.
