The EDM Operator sets up and operates electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment, including wire, sinker, and hole drill machines, to produce high-precision metal components. This role requires accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to determine machining requirements, selecting appropriate tooling and electrodes, and setting machine parameters to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes. The EDM Operator monitors machining processes, makes necessary adjustments, inspects finished parts using measurement tools, and performs routine maintenance while maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position works closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and continuously improve processes.
