**Job Title: EDM Operator**

**Job Description**

The EDM Operator sets up, programs, and operates EDM equipment to manufacture precision tooling and components to print. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, a solid understanding of GD&T, and the ability to work independently while holding tight tolerances in a tool room or fabrication shop environment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up, program, and operate EDM machines to manufacture precision tooling and components according to specifications.
+ Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to ensure dimensional accuracy and required surface finishes.
+ Create, modify, and optimize EDM programs using CAD/CAM software or machine-based (conversational) programming.
+ Select appropriate wire, offsets, skim passes, taper controls, and flushing parameters for each job.
