THE ROLE / TE MAHI

We are seeking a permanent, full‑time Educational Interpreter to work with and support our learners and teaching team across our Enrolled School Provisions in Hillmorton, Wharenui, and Hagley. The successful applicant will be required to interpret and translate in and around the educational setting, ensuring that students are able to understand, fully participate, and achieve. The ability to adapt to the style of teaching as well as the needs and language level of the learner is essential to this role.

Prerequisites to be successful in this role are:

• Approved qualifications in New Zealand Sign Language and interpreter training
• Previous experience working in educational settings, sign language resource development and translation services (preferred, but not essential)
• A current driving licence
