Position Overview
**Job Description**
The EEG Technician is responsible for conducting EEG procedures to record and analyze brainwave activity in patients with neurological conditions. They work closely with neurologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate data collection and test results, patient comfort and safety, and overall effectiveness of the monitoring process.
**Qualifications**
+ HS/GED
+ Associate?s or Bachelor?s Degree is preferred and education with emphasis on physical or biological sciences is advantageous
+ R.EEG.T. (Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist) credential by ABRET - Required
+ One year of clinical EEG experience in outpatient or inpatient settings.
+ Successful completion of an educational program for EEG Technician.
+ Basic understanding of EEG Equipment, electrode placement and data collection techniques.
+ Proficiency in recognizing artifacts and ensuring high-quality EEGs.
