Electrical Control Panel Wireman
This is primarily a hands-on panel-building and wiring position. Typical duties include:
- Reading electrical schematics, blueprints, panel layouts, and point-to-point wiring documents
- Mounting PLCs, power supplies, terminal blocks, relays, breakers, contactors, VFDs, and safety devices
- Cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, routing, and terminating wires
- Installing DIN rail, wire duct, and control-panel hardware
- Drilling and tapping panel enclosures
- Performing continuity and point-to-point testing
- Troubleshooting and correcting wiring issues
- Following NEC, UL 508A, safety, and workmanship standards
