Under the supervision of a registered nurse, responsible for providing support to nursing staff and assisting in the delivery of patient care following hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1.Provides routine patient care services such as call light response; ambulating, transferring, and positioning; personal hygiene assistance.
2.Collects, records, and reports various patient data. Obtains vital signs, blood glucose levels, bedside pregnancy testing, and reports changes in patient data to registered nurse.
3.Performs Foley catheterization for both male and female patients, uses bladder scanner for patients to estimate bladder contents.Administers enemas as directed. Collects and transports specimen.Documents.
