About the job Engineering Technician Associate Position Summary
Performs a wide range of analytical tasks related to the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical power distribution facilities. Projects include design of distribution facilities (serving residential, commercial and small industrial customers), relocation of existing distribution facilities, distribution system improvements such as minor expansions, conversions, and rebuilds.
Primary Duties - Perform various design duties including conducting field surveys, performing calculations, preparing drawings and specifications, selecting equipment, developing material lists, estimating labor and material costs, and updating GIS system associated with the analysis and design of distribution facilities for simple construction projects.
