Overview


Responsibilities
Perform field testing and inspection of soils, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
Observe and document earthwork operations, foundation excavations, utility trench backfill, and structural fill placement.
Conduct density testing, moisture testing, proof rolling, and compaction testing.
Collect soil, aggregate, and concrete samples for laboratory testing.
Prepare accurate field reports and maintain daily documentation.
Communicate test results and field observations to project managers and engineers.
Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations while working on active construction sites.
