**Position Summary:**

Support engineering dept. by creating and evaluating prototypes, providing input during design reviews and performing QC checks. Provide training and support of existing and new products. Document new build configurations. Act as a liaison between engineering and production to resolve issues.

**Essential Functions of the Job:**

+ Utilize basic machine, fabrication and weld practices to create new prototype parts/weldments from scratch as well as from engineering drawings.
+ Work with fabrication dept. to create any complex parts.
+ Assemble prototypes for evaluation and document any fit up issues.
+ Operate, test and provide feedback on new prototypes.
+ Perform QC checks on prototype and production parts/weldments to ensure compliance with engineering drawings as needed. Precision measuring devises maybe used.
+ Work with engineering and/or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies found by QC checks.
