Overview

This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of rail equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and logistics teams, performing inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections and unscheduled repairs on coaches and locomotives
• Conduct interior and exterior safety inspections
• Prepare equipment for dispatch and operation
• Carry out component replacements (brakes, actuators, wheels, etc.)
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and perform repairs using hand and power tools
• Support work order creation with accurate reporting
• Travel to outpost locations as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Direct rail experience and hands‑on maintenance background (e.g., RCMs from VIA)
