Our Distribution group is currently looking to add an Equipment Operator to our growing team, based in Sherwood Park, AB.
Reporting to the Manager, Subdivisions, we are seeking an experienced operator to support new shallow underground utility construction work in residential subdivisions around Edmonton. Main equipment would be a trackhoe and backhoe.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and appropriate manorUnderstanding of soil mechanics and work with geotechnical engineers on density testing of soilsBe aware of proper rigging equipment and procedures for lifting materialsComplete daily equipment inspection formsParticipate in daily Safety Meetings and Hazard AssessmentsParticipate in daily work planning schedule meetingsHave a sound understanding of issues relating to ground disturbanceAssist ground crew in duties out of equipment when there is no...
