Qualifications, Education and Skills

CARE course certification is an acceptable alternative to ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.

Requisites

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) mandatory.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) mandatory.
• Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) license.
• Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) mandatory.
• Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Emergency Medicine desired.
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) mandatory.
• Mini‑Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL) mandatory.
