Addictions Medicine Physician – Vancouver Community MHSU Programs (Various sites)

Permanent position with Vancouver Coastal Health. Requires a Medical Degree and licensure in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Commitment of 0.2–0.5 FTE (2–5 sessions per week) covering clinic work in adult addiction medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assessment, withdrawal management, co‑occurring disorder treatment, and pain management for adults with substance use disorders.
• Prescribe and manage opioid agonist therapy (OAT) per the BC Provincial Opioid Addiction Treatment Support Program (POATSP) requirements.
• Participate in team‑based care with nurses, allied health, rehabilitation professionals, peers, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and other physicians.
