Introduction

Aga Khan University chartered in as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research, and health care of international standards relevant to Pakistan and the region.

The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health is committed to providing state-of-the-art clinical services to children. It imparts high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate training and carries out community-oriented research of public health importance. The Department consists of a group of dedicated full-time and part-time Faculties. Besides the outpatient clinics, the inpatient set-up consists of a Paediatric Ward with two units comprising 84 beds, a dedicated 5-bed area for Paediatric Neurology, and a Neonatal Section comprising a state-of-the-art neonatal unit of 24 beds with provision of level 4 care. In addition, a 10-bed level 2 care along with 2 postnatal nurses for level 1 care.
