Department of Conservation (DOC) invites applications for a Research Assistant to carry out a focused field-based study on the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel on Rakiura Stewart Island during the upcoming breeding season.

This role is hands-on, requires strong backcountry navigation, and involves working in remote huts and campsites with a 10-days on, 4-days off roster. Applicants should be able to travel ferry shifts from Invercargill.
